A sneaky peek.

I couldn't resist checking on the progress of the rhubarb I've been forcing. It's only under cover since paddy's day so I must say that's an impressive growth rate.



The visible green leaves are the unforced plants beside, they will be harvested at a later date.



I just might have some rhubarb a bit sooner than expected, although this plant is in the ground since last summer !! I'll keep it covered for a few more weeks.

You have an impressive set up ready to go, I hope the early planting out works Ok for you.It is all trial and error what works one year may not the next and something could be growing happpily for you and not in the next garden. I have rhubarb but none forced so little pangs of envy here!

  5. Welcome Peggy and thanks for the comment, I'm happy enough with the rhubarb at the moment as for the rest, we shall wait and see. I hope to get a few more raised beds made soon, I suppose the more we have the more we want !!
